Fallout – Lucy MacLean Character

Lucy MacLean

Luc(k)y

If you’re in the middle of Fallout TV’s first season, then you’ve probably met Lucy MacLean. The dweller is a plucky, kind, and lovable character who’s always ready to rise to the occasion. Whether it’s saving the town of Filly from violence or trying to save her father Hank from Lee Moldaver, Lucy has a strong will and is always willing to get things done.

Unlike other Fallout characters, such as Maximus or the Ghoul, Lucy is an earnest character, which can be difficult to pull off in an apocalyptic setting. However, Ella Purnell’s performance as Lucy has earned her plenty of praise for her steadfast optimism and kindness. In fact, she’s one of the most well-rounded and likeable characters in the entire series.

While there are plenty of reasons to love Lucy, she’s a great example of how the Wasteland can change even the most well-intentioned people. In the beginning of the season, she’s naive about her new world. She believes the Overseers were being polite and used feigned kindness to hide their totalitarian intentions.

This is what makes her so interesting, as she struggles to cope with her new environment and tries to adapt to the realities of the apocalypse. She’s experienced a lot in her short time outside of Vault 33, including being hunted by feral ghouls and dealing with Mr. Handy and the Super Duper Mart. She’s also seen her best friend turned into a Ghoul, so she knows what it means to lose someone you care about.
