Borderlands 2 Characters
Borderlands 2 is a popular video game that features an interesting cast of characters. It is expected that many of these characters will feature in the film version as well.
Claptrap is a great character for those looking for a challenge in solo play. His random perks can be extremely helpful in combat.
Maya the Siren
Five years ago, the Vault Hunters Mordecai, Roland, Lilith, and Brick were guided by an alien entity to a mysterious vault in the heart of Pandora. Inside, they uncovered a precious new mineral called Eridium, which Handsome Jack, president of the Hyperion Corporation, quickly secured.
Maya the Siren is one of six playable characters in Borderlands 2. Her action skill allows her to phaselock enemies in a stasis bubble, which can be upgraded to provide various damaging effects.
She is also an excellent sniper. She can leech her enemies’ powers to increase her damage output and reload speed. Maya is also a good tank because she can leech health from enemies and summon turrets to take on large groups of enemies. She also has a unique ability to perform a buttslam, a jump attack that slams down on enemies within range. This can be augmented by equipping Oz-Kits. Maya’s other action skills include the Cataclysm tree’s abilities to damage enemy armor and weapons, and the Harmony tree’s defense upgrades.
Salvador the Gunzerker
Salvador was born and raised on Pandora and grew up loving the usual Pandora pastime of shooting guns. However he only killed bad guys like bandits and psychos. His love for excessive violence led him to be put on trial and about to be hanged by the town folk of Ovejas. That’s when members of Hyperion’s private army arrived to take over the area. Salvador single-handedly destroyed the team, leaving one soldier to crawl back to their unit on only one arm (the other being harpooned off).
He joins the Crimson Raiders during the DLC to help defeat Handsome Jack. He’s a great tank character and can do serious damage with Gunzerking, his action skill. The Rampage and Gun Lust trees enhance his dual-wielding while the Brawn tree boosts his physical toughness.
Axton the Assassin
Five years after the events of Borderlands 1, Axton – a master assassin who worked for the Dahl army – has been on the run from her past. She is approached by a Vault Hunter to assist in an operation to assassinate an adversary. The operation takes place in a canyon near Privilege Pavilion and involves destroying a wall with a remote bomb.
Axton’s main action skill is the Sabre Turret which can be deployed to attack enemies or provide defense. She can upgrade this turret with the Guerrilla tree to make it better at dealing damage and duration, or Survival to improve his defensive abilities.
Axton is a good character to level up with a friend, as enemies will be much higher than your own level, and all players receive XP for every enemy killed. She is one of the most versatile characters in the game, and is good at both ranged and melee combat.
Zer0 the Assassin
Zer0 is a dark-coloured assassin for hire. He’s named for the hologram of “0” that displays on his faceplate when he kills a target. His gender, race and appearance remain mysterious. Despite being a professional killer, he’s prone to self-pity and despair.
He’s fast and can be very effective in a duel, provided you play it right. The key is to move around and never allow the enemy to line up a headshot. Zer0 also specializes in using Decepti0n to psyche out opponents.
His sniper rifle can shoot a long distance, though its range depends on the weapon. He can also grab his opponent, toss them upward, and then shoot them again for added damage. This is a great way to deal some impressive punishment from above. He can even use a melee burst from invisible. The only downside is that his defenses are paper-thin, so it’s important to keep moving and spec for high damage.
Scooter the Soilder
Scooter is a Peashooter who can ride a kick-scooter. She is a member of the Plant Army and is commonly seen around Nate Timely, Patrice Blazing, and Crazy Dave. She was raised alone after her flower pot drifted away when zombies flooded Neighborville, but quickly learned the value of working together.
At the start of Borderlands 2, there are 4 playable characters; Axton, Maya, Salvador, and Zer0. However, Gearbox Software added two more playable characters; Gaige and Krieg with the release of Post-Launch DLC.
Both Gaige and Krieg have their own unique skills and perks that make them fun to play. For example, Gaige can place a turret on the battlefield that will provide cover fire. He can also augment his turret with Oz-Kits to add additional damage. Krieg can spawn a robot that will harass enemies on the battlefield. He can also use his holographic projector to teleport to an enemy’s location.
Dr. Patricia Tannis
From the main game to spin-offs and downloadable content, Borderlands has given fans a ton of characters to love. But there are a few who really stand out from the pack. From the first game, we’ve seen Rhys, Vaughn, and Mad Moxxi capture hearts with their quirky personality while Nisha and Wilhelm were able to show some serious gun-slinging skills.
The Borderlands movie directed by Eli Roth takes some creative liberties with the character, but it’s clear that Blanchett is taking the role seriously. The movie also stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, and Florian Munteanu as rogue mercenary Roland and bandit Krieg.
Tannis is an archeologist with a special interest in the Eridian civilization and has a tenuous grip on her sanity. She’s autistic and displays several of the classic traits including lack of empathy, echolalia, and trouble interpreting social cues. She also appears to have emotional attachments to her ECHO recorder and two chairs.
Marcus Kincaid
In the Borderlands series, players can customize their characters by choosing from six different class types and three skill trees. Each skill tree offers a unique playstyle and builds off of the others. This allows the player to build a character that suits them best.
Marcus Kincaid is an arms dealer in Pandora. He owns all of the weapons and ammo vending machines in the game. He also narrates the various intro movies that appear at the beginning of the games.
Dr. Patricia Tannis is one of the most interesting characters in the Borderlands franchise. She has powerful psionic abilities and has been a committed Vault Hunter since the first game.
Tiny Tina
Known for her childlike excitement and more than a touch of madness, Tiny Tina first appeared in Borderlands 2 and took center stage in the game’s third major DLC, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. In this adventure, she hires the Vault Hunter to help her rescue a former member of her band, Sir Hammerlock.
While Eli Roth’s Borderlands movie turned the 13-year-old demolitions expert into a more traditional chosen one type, Gearbox’s game gave her a much more interesting backstory. Her parents were sold to Hyperion, the weapons and robot manufacturer owned by Handsome Jack, to be test subjects for his slag mutation experiments. After she escaped from the facility by using a grenade that she had stowed in her dress, Tiny vowed revenge on the man who sold them, Flesh-Stick.
Roll up your mighty hero and explore this chaotic tabletop world with its majestic cities, dank mushroom forests and foreboding fortresses. Play with friends in cross-platform multiplayer and fight your way through outlandish monsters and loot-filled dungeons.
Scooter’s Mother
Five years after the events of Borderlands, four Vault Hunters—Roland, Lilith, Brick, and Mordecai—were guided by the Guardian Angel to a mysterious ancient alien structure on the planet of Pandora. Inside, they discovered a new resource called Eridium and were confronted by an alien abomination known as The Destroyer. This spawned a civil war and a tyrannical dictator named Handsome Jack, who now rules the planet from his Helios space station.
Each of the playable characters in Borderlands 2 has a unique action skill that is activated when a player reaches level 5. These skills can be specialized to improve a character’s strength, endurance, accuracy, and more.
Scooter has a Southern accent and is very sarcastic. He was Lily’s boyfriend in high school, but she broke up with him to pursue her dream of becoming a professional baseball umpire (Best Prom Ever). He works as a cafeteria worker at the Vault and is still deeply in love with her.
