Visually stunning Games Like Stardew Valley
Games Like Stardew Valley is the rare breed of imitation that breaks free from its own roots to become a great game in its own right. With its slowed down pacing and rural self-sufficiency, this game offers a relaxing experience.
You grow crops and sell them, tend to animals and make things like cheese and mayonnaise. You even forage and fish occasionally, and can court bachelors and bachelorettes to share your life with.
My Time at Portia – Exploring the beauty Landscape
My Time at Portia is a cozy game with an impressively large amount of stuff to do and explore. It takes a while to get into because there’s so much to discover and learn. Its premise will seem familiar to anyone who’s played Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing: you move into an unfamiliar town inherited from your father’s workshop and spend your days building the community up.
Its beautiful surroundings are packed full of quarries, caves, forests, farms, townsfolk and abandoned ruins to explore. Upgrading your tools helps you gather more from the environment and unlock objects to craft. You’ll even need to upgrade your inventory to store all the objects you pick up – it fills up fast as you discover new items, especially when you’re mining in the ruins.
Moonstone Island
Floating islands, ancient temples, dangerous dungeons & hostile biomes await in this creature-collecting life-sim.
Plant and harvest crops to brew potions and use in crafting; grow and tame Spirits to fight alongside you; explore the 100 islands of Moonstone Island and find out its dark secret. Every island in the game is unique, with each having one of six different biomes that dictates how it looks, its potential environmental hazards and the types of Crops, Spirits & Fish that can be found there. The island’s season and Psychic Storms further influence these outputs.
Dinkum Game
G’Day there, mate! Start a new fair Dinkum life and build your home on an Island inspired by the wild Australian outback. Explore tropical eucalyptus forests, survive scorching deserts and relax by cool billabongs. Fight predators, hunt and collect treasure, trade with NPCs and fulfill a host of satisfying milestones on your journey to establish a thriving town filled with farms and businesses.
Dinkum is a charming and absorbing adventure game that’s easy to pick up and play but difficult to put down. As a fan of the genre, I was really impressed with its attention to detail. It’s packed with character customization options, tons of decoration items and kits for making your home look just how you envision it.
We were also impressed with its pacing and the amount of activities it offers. It starts off a bit slow, with lots of introduction tasks, but it quickly builds up momentum. I especially liked the way that you could mark locations on a giant map of your Island and pin them to your main screen, making it easy to find those clusters of Copper Ore or to remember what you needed to craft that axe.
